Perched on a green mound at the west end of Hawick’s High Street, where the Slitrig meets the Teviot, St Mary’s and Old Parish Church has anchored the town’s skyline and story for more than 800 years. What is Friends of St Mary's?
Friends of St Mary's is a group of individuals who have come together to try and carve a future for of St Mary's Kirk. After the amalgamation of St Mary's & Old Parish Church, Trinity Church, Teviot Church and Roberton Church to Hawick South, the Church of Scotland unfortunately sustain all buildings. The objective of Friends of St Mary's is to find the best use for the building of St Mary's Kirk. A building that has a rich history of worship and is a beacon of Christianity w
